
It allows you to clear the LCD screen by typing a command in the terminal window. For example, control-L recognizes the BPP-series and VFD-series displays. The application is highly configurable, allowing you to send control characters from your keyboard. It is an easy-to-use program and offers a few great features. It is included with Windows XP and Windows 7 but is not included with Windows 10. You can control serial devices with HyperTerminal. To use HyperTerminal in Windows 10, you must be logged in as an administrator. After installation, you will need administrator rights to run the program. To open HyperTerminal, run it after installing the registry file. Then, install a registry file that includes exceptions for HyperTerminal. To use it, you must disable your antivirus.

The Windows XP CD contains files for HyperTerminal.

To do that you need something more like wireshark. You won't see the traffic though that the scale is sending out. Using telnet to connect to a server is sometimes a good tool for testing server side stuff like smtp.
